Description
Glendale Community College is developing new allied health career pathways to train Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) with support from USC. This innovative partnership will create streamlined career pathways for students while meeting a growing demand for physical and occupational therapy services in the Montrose, Glendale, and La Crescenta communities.
The future GCC Montrose Campus Allied Health Building will house classroom lecture and lab spaces for GCC’s PTA and OTA programs, along with fully functional clinical spaces where students can earn their clinical fieldwork hours. Clinical spaces will be operated by USC and available to the community.
GCC plans to conduct a “design-build process.” This will allow the community to provide feedback on the new building’s design. GCC is committed to maintaining the historic charm of the Montrose Town Center.
