Garfield Projects
To ensure that current and future needs are met, the District’s Facilities Master Plan focuses on completing the development of the Garfield Campus, which opened its doors in 1990 and has grown ever since. The Plan recommends new facilities to keep pace with this growth, but the campus itself must expand before that can happen. The District’s recent and ongoing acquisitions of additional land, funded by Measure GC, are increasing the size of the campus and making it possible to build these urgently needed facilities. Other immediate-term projects include the expansion of parking and the renovation of the Mariposa Building to better meet the current needs of students and faculty.
