San Gabriel First Floor ‐ Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) Renovation

Description

Space on the first floor of the San Gabriel Building is being designed to become the campus’ new office for Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS). This location on the ground floor near the Access bus stop improves access for students with mobility challenges. The project expands testing and assessment space, as well as office space, for DSPS personnel.

  • DSA Notice of Progress letter received; plan review in progress
  • DSA intake of revised plans submitted 10/28/2020
  • Accessibility upgrades design in progress
  • Awaiting updated redesign; Target date for new DSA submission: Mid-October
  • Revised plans to be submitted to DSA on September 4, 2020 for 2 week expedited review
  • Anticipating response of DSA extension status
  • Project document and DSA comments have been shared with San Gabriel Level 2 Math Design Team
  • Project will be advertised for bid upon receipt of DSA approval of raised floor redesign
  • Target Completion date was Fall 2020; delayed due to COVID-19; completion date Summer 2021
